Hannah's Senior Portraits {Paso Robles}

I have known Hannah since her Freshman year of high school so it's crazy to think that she is going to be a senior. It's always a kick for me to shoot senior portraits of kids I know since I know their personalities and what hopefully makes them laugh. Hannah was easy to make laugh at this session. Yes, she was a little nervous but she is gorgeous and so fun to capture her vibrant personality. She is going to be an amazing woman some day and I am excited to watch her along her journey.

Brady + Stephanie's Wedding {Pismo Beach}

On Friday Brady and Stephanie got married at the Shore Cliff Lodge in Pismo Beach. The air was full of excitement that anyone could sense and it was a pleasure to capture them both. Both Brady and Stephanie are very photogenic and they truly enjoy the other's presence. We ventured down to a beach access in Pismo for pictures...unfortunately the tide was up a little too far to jump over with a wedding dress, but we still got the "feel" of the beach. One wave in particular came up quickly and drenched one of Brady's shoes. He was flexible and happily took his shoes off for the rest of the shots. The reception started off with a bang thanks to the music provided by Gy Ryder and all the guests enjoyed dancing to the sunset over the Avila hills. All in all, this was an amazing wedding and I found myself excited to celebrate with them.

Ilac Family {Shell Beach}

I look forward each year to my time with the Ilacs. It's been almost 3 (if not 4) years now that I have captured their growing family. I have to say that this year was so much fun! Life with two boys is full of excitement and amazing imagination. I met Kale's imaginary friend (yes, he was on my camera and then apparently in my belly), I laughed listening to Robin and Kevin talk logically with their kids with humor and I smiled as I saw them all play in the sand together while building rock castles. What a family...what a blessing!

Stephen + Christina {Dana Powers Barn}

I have always enjoyed shooting at the Dana Powers House in Nipomo but with the addition of the barn on the site, I think I now love it even more. What an amazing venue! Judith and her husband have truly thought of everything to ensure the best quality for their couples and the character found throughout the site is astounding.

Stephen and Christian found this place and I don't think it could have been a better match. They both have a timeless, creative style that accented the already amazing decor at the barn. Owning Christina Raye Jewerly, Christina designed all her jewelry and Honey Sweet Floral Design provided the flowers. AMS provided the music for the day and Mary Allegretta coordinated the day flawlessly. Between the stellar vendors and perfect couple, I found that our time flew by and I was wanting to stay longer to enjoy the festivities.

Hector and Malorie's Wedding {Dolphin Bay}

Hector and Malorie could not have chosen a more picturesque site for their wedding on Saturday. Having both the ceremony and reception on the lawn at Dolphin Bay Resort and Spa, Hector and Malorie's guests celebrated them becoming husband and wife with an amazing California sunset. This was my first wedding at the new resort and I have to admit that I was beyond impressed...the staff was very attentive and friendly and the venue as a whole was a photographer's dream. I could have captured them all evening since everywhere I turned had another creative, unique setting for pictures. As for a few things that I treasured from the wedding, Hector and Malorie had an intimate ceremony with beautiful vows in both Spanish and English and they awed the guests at the reception with a choreographed dance with the sun setting in the background. It was an amazing day and perfect way to start their lives as a married couple.
