Associate Kayla: Iqbal Wedding {Portola Inn}

I first met Jason and Teresa at their engagement session a few months back. The great thing about engagement sessions is that it allows the client and the photographer to get a feel for one another. I quickly learned that self-proclaimed "shy" Jason, would actually get in to the session after a little prodding. Therefore it made it that much easier on his wedding day to get him comfortable quickly. He actually admitted to enjoying himself while we were taking pictures. That is music to a photographers ears! Teresa is sweet and shy, but when she looks at Jason, she has an infectious giggle that you can't help but laugh yourself. Their wedding at the Portola Inn in was amazingly beautiful and full of color. It was breath-taking! Once the reception moved to the Carriage House, the party got started with an eclectic mix of Mexican, Indian and music from todays top hits. All in all, it was a wonderful day that I was honored to be part of.

Associate Kayla: Jason + Teresa's Engagements {Atascadero}

Before I started Teresa and Jason's engagement session Teresa leaned over and told me we sweetly "We aren't good at taking pictures". I told her that was my job and assured her that they would do just fine. Both Jason and Teresa were the epitome of sweet and shy, but it didn't take long before I began to see their personalities shine. At one point Jason even took his glasses off and started putting the moves on Teresa, making her giggle and show her beautiful smile. They both did amazing once the got used to the camera and rocked their session! I can't wait for their wedding!

Phil + Carol's Engagements {Paso Robles/Atascadero}

Cameras must love Phil and Carol. They truly rocked the session and had an ease in front of the lens. Carol told me they wanted to bring their guitars to their session and I was thrilled since props can add so much more creativity for all. I asked them to just play, sing and interact with each other while I ran around and took pictures. Well, needless to say, found myself distracted by their singing/playing talents and paid little attention to the pictures. They were amazing and have voices that pull you in to listen. I must say that their future kids will be blessed with lullabies that far surpass my pathetic attempts for my own children. I CANNOT wait until their wedding in August to see the style they bring for me to capture...thank you for the great shoot!
