Justus Family {Shell Beach}

What a fun gift! The 3 Justus girls surprised their mom with a weekend birthday celebration...every mom's dream. Before the birthday dinner, I met up with the family for a portrait session at Shell Beach. I had the pleasure of shooting Dan and Kasey's wedding a few years back so it was a blessing to to with everyone again. A few babies and a new marriage have been added to the group since I have been with them all so it was great to capture the growing family. I have to say, they all have some of the best smiles...I found myself smiling behind the camera. I did get a little teary eyed at one point when snapping a few pictures of the girls loving on their mom. What a gift for me to see.

Joel and Erin's Engagements {Shell Beach}

I love engagement sessions with a twist. Joel and Erin told me at their consultation appointment that they wanted to "trash" a wedding dress for their engagement session...I was thrilled! We meet up on Saturday for the shoot and our time was perfect. The weather was beautiful and we all enjoyed laughing together (especially when people tried to warn us that the water was about to get Erin's dress wet). I joked with them both that we should just go ahead and have them married since they were all dressed up and Erin looked absolutely amazing. Joel and Erin are such a vivacious couple and I cannot wait until their wedding.

Ilac Family {Shell Beach}

I look forward each year to my time with the Ilacs. It's been almost 3 (if not 4) years now that I have captured their growing family. I have to say that this year was so much fun! Life with two boys is full of excitement and amazing imagination. I met Kale's imaginary friend (yes, he was on my camera and then apparently in my belly), I laughed listening to Robin and Kevin talk logically with their kids with humor and I smiled as I saw them all play in the sand together while building rock castles. What a family...what a blessing!
