Matt + Deanna's Wedding {Villa Toscana}

I find myself giddy from the thrill of Fall officially starting. Matt and Deanna's wedding encouraged that glee with an amazing fall wedding at Villa Toscana in Paso Robles. They could not have hoped for a better day surrounded by friends and family. I remember meeting them both at my office and thinking that I was going to enjoy working with them...I was right. Both Matt and Deanna are a true pleasure to be around and Deanna has a contagious laugh can get anyone to smile.

Deanna and her sister thought of so many special touches for the day. The guests were spoiled with a candy bar stocked with not only candy but also specialty chocolates that truly melted in your mouth. The large group of kids were entertained with games, coloring, toys and candy of their own at the kid's table....they even were served their own buffet of chicken fingers and pizza. I have yet to see that at a wedding and thought it was an incredible idea that made the kids all feel important (you could tell that Deanna is a nanny!). Also, Matt's uncle had a "special" picture from "Italy" for the couple to open and enjoy on their first day of marriage...truly priceless. All in all, it was a great day and I was thrilled to capture the joy.

Jared and Shauna {Villa Toscana}

Last Saturday I had the joy of capturing Jared and Shauna's wedding at Villa Toscana in Paso Robles. I shot Shauna's sister's wedding a few years back so it was a privilege being with the family once again and seeing a new addition to the family. The day had to be a record hot for Paso however both Jared and Shauna handled it with grace and their guests were blessed to celebrate with them. Flowers by Denise (as always) provided some amazing floral arrangements to compliment the perfect wedding coordination by Kristen with Jour Parfait Even Design. A special touch for the day had to be the wedding and groom's cake. Shauna's aunt skillfully designed and made both of the cakes which were a hit. With Jared being a fireman in San Francisco, the fire truck groom's cake was a thrill for all the firemen there...we took many fun pictures with the large group of men.

On the photography side, the sunset on that particular day had to be one of the most breathtaking views I have seen in awhile. I had a blast running with Shauna and Jared around Villa Toscana to squeeze in the pictures before the sun fully set. All in all, it was a blessing to me to be a part of this wedding. Thanks!

The Perfect Day at Villa Toscana

It's amazing how each wedding is different and how they fit the bride and groom's personality. Travis and Ashley got married Sunday at Villa Toscana and it was evident that they had a great time at their wedding. Since they are from Bakersfield, the 90+ degree temperature didn't phase them.








Ashley had an amazing dress unlike any I have seen this year...it fit her perfectly. She had a look that resembled that of the 1920's bride with her sleek but simple hair style. When Travis saw her for the first time as she walked down the aisle, the tears started streaming down his face. It touched my heart to see a groom cry at his wedding!








The wedding party was a very easy going group that loved being there for Ashley and Travis. They all were ready to party and celebrate with them...so much so, they got in one of Villa Toscana's fountains! (...Bob with Phase 1 Mobile DJ was an assistant on making that happen too...he always does a great job at facilitating a party.)




Oh, I almost forgot...this was the best cake cutting smash I have seen in a long time! The totally went for it (chocolate on the dress and all)!
