Alex's Senior Portraits {Paso Robles}

I love shooting senior portraits for some of the high school kids I know through Young Life. Alex has been an amazing student with us throughout the years. She has an incredible heart to serve and an admirable sense of making sure others always feel included. For her shoot, we ventured around a spot in Atascadero and ended at the beach in Morro Bay. I laughed as we drove out of the north county where it was 95 degrees outside and pulled into Morro Bay where it was 58 degrees...needless to say, I was a bit jealous of Alex's cozy sweatshirt! Alex is a beautiful teenager and I am so excited for her senior year. Blessings, my friend!

Nate + Katie's Wedding {Woodleaf}

It's a rare event for a wedding to be held at one of Young Life's camp properties. Having known the Scudder family for a few years now, I was thrilled to hear of the opportunity of shooting Nate and Katie's wedding at Woodleaf! This camp holds a special place in mine and my husband's hearts...and it is beautiful. Upon my arriving late Saturday, snow and freezing weather greeted me. I was not sure what to expect since all the wedding festivities were held outside and I only packed a pair of black capri's for the wedding (not smart...at all). Luckily enough, prayers were answered and Sunday proved to be a gorgeous day. Katie looked absolutely stunning and Nate was truly smiling from ear to ear as they exchanged vows under the huge trees on the property. Katie truly thought of every unique detail to tie in their personalities while also matching the feel of the camp. I joked with her that she should be a wedding planner. As the sun set, guests enjoyed the celebration into the night with strung lights providing the perfect amount of light...I loved it. What an amazing wedding and joy for me to be a part of with them!
