Jeff + Jennifer {Santa Maria}

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

With the Central Coast having pictiresque venues throughout, I often find it rare to shoot in a church. Jeff and Jennifer had their ceremony at an amazing chapel-like church in Santa Maria. Due to the request of the church, we were unable to utilize the center aisle during the ceremony; however, we were still able to capture the intimate setting. As for all the post-ceremony pictures we stopped at Waller Park and found some great lighting coming through the trees...a photographer's dream.

MC and Kari's Engagements {SLO}

Monday, August 25, 2008

I had a great time Friday night with MC and Kari as we walked around downtown San Luis Obispo for their engagements. Couples like this are so refreshing because they are so easy to be around and work with. With Kari's stricking looks and MC's gentleness, the pictures came easy and the time flew by. I look forward to their wedding next month.

Mark + Megan {Castoro Cellars}

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

What a beautiful wedding! Mark and Megan had a 6:30pm wedding at Castoro Cellars and the sun was working with us wonderfully. I couldn't have hoped for better lighting for the ceremony and pictures. Mark's father had the honor of marrying his son...he did a beautiful job. There is something so special about the "realness" or personalized ceremony like this one when a family member serves as the officiant. Castoro Cellars and the staff at Phoenix Catering created a rememorable, lively reception. It was so evident that the guest were having a great time and ready to enjoy the amazing music provided by one of the best, Gy Ryder. As for the couple, Mark and Megan were amazing. Willing to do whatever and loving every detail about their wedding, it was a pleasure to be a part of their exciting day.

Adam + Kristi {Avila Beach}

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

It's always exciting for a photographer to shoot at a new place that is not common for weddings. Adam and Kristi got married at a close friend's house in Avila Beach and the setting could not have been better! The view was breathtaking and house had so many different features to play around with...luckily for me, both Adam and Kristi were willing to do and go where ever. One of my favorite places was the hallway of the house. The ceiling was all glass and it looked like something out of a magazine.

As for the couple...they were great! It was fun to see the joy they found in each other (as well as the humor). I walked away from this wedding amazed at how quickly the time went by and encouraged to see an amazing couple married.
