Baby Booker {Templeton}

My dear friend and event planner in the area, Kristin with Jour Parfait, had her first baby this year. Booker is just too precious and is definitely full of smiles. His entire face seems to light up...which naturally gets both mom and dad to smile too. I know I have said it before, but I find such joy in capturing new families. There is a tenderness about them as well as an overwhelming sense of joy and pride. Kristin is a natural and Thomas clearly adores his new son. Thank you Odenwalds for the blessing of being with your family!

Rick + Jen's Engagements {Paso Robles}

Saturday was a double header for me with two engagement sessions in one day but they were both incredible! I finished up my day with Rick and Jen and I couldn't have hoped for more. Jen is gorgeous and extremely easy to capture with a camera and Rick is a handsome catch himself. Together they knew how to cuddle, laugh and just "be" in front of the camera (maybe they should give my husband and I some pointers) :) We went everywhere from downtown Paso to some open fields close to my friend's orchard. The clouds were on my side so lighting was perfect...happy photographer = great pictures!

Mike + Kelley's Engagements {San Luis Obispo}

One of my most entertaining couples were Mike and Kelley! I remember meeting them both in my office and getting a real sense of personality during our time...the same was true during the engagement session. We trotted around downtown San Luis Obispo and just stopped at whatever captured my eye. One of the best locations was in a local store that is packed full of hilarious props, books, signs, etc. Mike was in heaven and Kelley was full of laughs at his witty commentary. Our second location was Bishop Peak which was beautiful as always...there is just something about the sun peaking through in the huge trees at the base of the mountain. As for the wedding, they are a late November wedding at Santa Margarita Ranch and I cannot wait (fall is my favorite time of the year). Thanks for making my job easy, Mike and Kelley!...you are an incredible couple.

Mike + Pam's Engagements {Paso and Morro Bay}

Pamela has an amazing smile that was easy to capture...I knew if she could smile through the freezing wind while wearing a cute purple dress, we were set for the shoot. What a trooper!! We started out in downtown Paso Robles to use some of the unique walls and stairs found throughout. Both Mike and Pamela were easy to work with since they were full of smiles whenever they looked at each other. Next we ventured down to Morro Bay to meet up with their two cute dogs for some family shots. I definitely got a little glimpse into the fun all four of them have together...I was even laughing when the dogs' leashes got tangled around Pam's legs! Don't worry, she didn't fall.

Their wedding this summer with be amazing. They chose Villa de Buena Vista in Paso for both the ceremony and reception...a beautiful site! I do have to smile when I think of Mike and Pam because the wedding planning process has been an "interesting" one for them both. From their initial ceremony/reception site being sold and not open for weddings anymore to our first engagement session getting dumped on with rain 5 minutes before we were suppose to meet, they have not had the easiest of road. However, they are definitely troopers and are finding joy through the whole process. So Mike and Pam, I am thrilled for your wedding and cannot for it to come!
