Engagements at Still Waters Winery

Monday, April 21, 2008

It's definitely the session for engagement sessions. Stephanie and Joey were flexible with their location so I immediately mentioined Still Waters Winery since it's become one of my favorite spots. The owners have done a fabulous job with all the details and character throughout the property. From metal doors to an olive orchard, the winery is perfect!

Stephanie and Joey were great to capture too. They both have an easy going spirit about them. Joey was honest and told me that he was not a huge picture guy, but after a quick shoot he laughed at how easy it was. For his reward for a job well done, he got to finish the shoot with some wine tasting...not a bad deal.

Mark + Megan + Montana de Oro

I shot Mark and Megan's engagements this past weekend at Montana de Oro. It's a great location since not many people have their engagements there. Yes, it was VERY windy but we had a great time. Mark proposed to Megan there so the park had some significance to them both.

The Perfect Day at Villa Toscana

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

It's amazing how each wedding is different and how they fit the bride and groom's personality. Travis and Ashley got married Sunday at Villa Toscana and it was evident that they had a great time at their wedding. Since they are from Bakersfield, the 90+ degree temperature didn't phase them.

Ashley had an amazing dress unlike any I have seen this year...it fit her perfectly. She had a look that resembled that of the 1920's bride with her sleek but simple hair style. When Travis saw her for the first time as she walked down the aisle, the tears started streaming down his face. It touched my heart to see a groom cry at his wedding!

The wedding party was a very easy going group that loved being there for Ashley and Travis. They all were ready to party and celebrate with them...so much so, they got in one of Villa Toscana's fountains! (...Bob with Phase 1 Mobile DJ was an assistant on making that happen too...he always does a great job at facilitating a party.)

Oh, I almost forgot...this was the best cake cutting smash I have seen in a long time! The totally went for it (chocolate on the dress and all)!

Chad + Erin + Santa Margarita Ranch

Wednesday, April 09, 2008

WOW!...this is the only word I can think of to describe this couple, day and wedding. My assistant Shelbea and I had an amazing time at Chad and Erin's wedding at the Santa Margarita Ranch. The venue has so many unique nooks to take some fun pictures and luckily Chad and Erin were willing to troop around with us. It blessed our hearts to see them married as well as watch a new family formed since Chad has two beautiful daughters. Hope you enjoy the show as much as we enjoyed capturing their day!
