Associate Kayla: Northrup Wedding {Ventana Grill}

Saturday was a beautiful day for a renewal wedding in Shell Beach. Because it was an 11:00am ceremony, Shelbea and I got to start our day earlier than usual. When we arrived at the Ventana Grill, it was overcast and beautiful. As a photographer, I love the overcast weather! It seems to make color (my favorite) pop and it gives us unlimited location options. We started out with Phil and his guys. Despite having to be ready at the crack of dawn, they were a riot to be around. We then headed over to a private beach house in Arroyo Grande where the girls were all getting ready. Kyra was a crack up. Her personality was not contained by her tiny stature. She had me having to wipe away tears of laughter in order to look through the viewfinder. Kyra was stunning...and her hair!! She had the most amazing, long, THICK, locks I've ever seen. The ceremony overlooking the bluffs was perfect and sweet. The reception was even sweeter. There were lots of tears filling to room during the mother/son and father/daughter dances. Once the music got playing, it was time to dance the rest of the afternoon away. Congratulations to Phil and Kyra and their sweet little family.
